As of today, the Decision on prohibition and the special regime of movement of the citizens on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia ceases to be valid.
This decision was made on the basis of a detailed analysis of the past three-month period after the first case of coronavirus in the country was diagnosed. The conclusion is that the recommendations and algorithms of the Commission on Infectious Diseases are properly obeyed, and the measures taken have yielded certain results.
One of the factors for the reduction of restrictive measures is the reduced mobility, mortality, lethality that follows the European and world trends. Regarding the registered cases with COVID-19, they are controlled in constant communication with the medical team. At the moment, 50 percent of the facilities have been filled in hospitals. There is a sufficient number of beds, protective equipment, as well as respiratory machines.
However, citizens must fully comply with the measures and recommendations of the Ministry of Health for protection against this virus, in addition to loosening restrictive measures.
Mandatory wearing of protective equipment, frequent washing and disinfection of hands, as well as maintaining the required physical distance of 1.5 to 2 meters are required. Only by adhering to these measures can we protect the health and well-being of our loved ones. The successful tackling of the coronavirus depends on all of us.
