In order to receive minimal guaranteed assistance, the financial insecurity of persons is determined based on the total average amount of all income of all household members on all grounds, calculated only from the last month, instead of the last three months.

Social protection beneficiaries will receive an additional payment of energy allowance in the amount of 1,000 MKD in April and May. That is about 30,000 users who will receive an additional energy allowance.

The requirement for proof of regular payment of the education allowance for the third and fourth period concerned for the academic year 2019/2020 ceases to be valid.

This means that thepayment of the educational allowance continues, in the amount of 700 denars per child in primary education and 1.000 denars per child in secondary education. That Is about 17.000 children who will continue to receive an education allowance.

There is a three-month extension from day of termination of the state of emergency to the deadlines for submitting a request for exercising the right toa one-time financial assistance for a newborn, at the request for exercising / extending the right to parental allowance for a child (for the third and fourth child)until three months after the termination of the state of emergency.

The validity of the previously provided confirmations for the parent beneficiary of the measure for paid family leave due to care for a child up to 10 years of age (or a child attending 4 grade) is extended until the termination of the state of emergency.

The same applies to employees with chronic conditions, pregnant women, people with disabilities who move with escort – totally blind people, people in wheelchairs and people with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities,who are exempted from going to work and performing work duties, which are covered by the measures.
